We managed to get the studio set up in record time. There are no incidents with 1000v lights this time. GO TEAM SAFETY.
It takes a few attempted to get the right exposure and to get the lights working how we want them to but then we're on a roll.

We start with me as model. We use the gobo with the 'creepy tree' effect. It's a really nice touch, but it's a very specific for certain brands. I think it would look great on an Illamasqua campaign, maybe even Dior.
As we you can see, we added colour gels. These are super fun and can completely change the mood of a photo. You don't have fill the image with colour, you can use a sidelight with a gel. To me, that lighting effect looks like a MAC add, it's almost like the skin has a sheen of colour.
We change it up and try using just the spotlight. I think this give photos a really nice clean look. It makes me think of Miles Alridge because his work looks really bright and it's high in contrast and I think that you could get some great photos from using this lighting technique.
In this part of the lesson we were taught about breathing on the lens, considering that I have been having troubles with sleeping. Chris jokingly mentions having a 'breather' on set. I instantly think of the call sheet with the word 'Breather' on it. This has tickled me immensely, God I need more sleep.
Here we've used a side light with colour. Justine has got light hair so this picks up really well in the photos. It looks really edgy (You might be able to tell I'm not au fait with describing photos) It's almost like a more professional version of the club photos you get, where the lights from the club catch your hair and it looks pretty cool.
This one we lit with a pink gel. It makes my hair look more red :)
More Pink.
We'd never tried to shoot with more than one model. So we had no idea how easy or difficult it was to shoot this idea. We just paired up and took in turns to see what we could do. I really love these photos. It's almost like you've caught Justine and Megan up to no good. The thing we try hardest to not recreate school like photos. Or mug shots. I think we nailed it .
